OUR PROGRAM
Goshen Children’s Home’s program is to assist children in healing by using Trauma Informed Parenting Techniques, Love and Logic Skills, and Behavior Modification Training. Goshen’s mission is to improve the lives of the children and families we serve.Goshen Children’s Home has one basic philosophy when it comes to helping the children learn about being responsible individuals: Work hard to play hard.​
THERAPY
Most children residing at Goshen have an individual counselor that they will see on a weekly basis to help better understand and appropriately deal with their behaviors and life situations.Updates on the child behaviors will be given to the counselors by Goshen staff. A weekly visit for the child allows for one on one time for the child to discuss both positive and negative events in their lives with someone outside of the home.The goal is for the child to eventually learn to control him/herself, build strong moral character, and make positive choices.

GROUP
Group is designed to help the child talk about problems they may have in a safe, accepting environment. Group can be artistic expression, physical fitness, academic topics, or based on emotional/behavioral issues. Topics include anger management, feeling identification, self-esteem building, communication, and grief and loss. This list is in no way all-inclusive. ​​
SENSORY ROOM
Our sensory room is a special room is designed to develop a childs sense, through special lighting, music, and objects. It is used as a therapeutic space for children with limited communication skills.
INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLANS
Goals that are specific to the child’s needs will be established with the assistance of all care providers, social service workers, and family members involved with the child.
RESPITE SERVICES
Respite services are provided to children ages 7 to 14. This service helps aid the parents and children during the reunification process and is available space permitting.
